The EEG lab offers standard electroencephalographic examination (EEG) i.e. recording of brain electric activity by means of surface electrodes (EEG cap) placed on the scalp. This non-invasive and painless examination takes approximately 45 minutes. EEG is conducted by qualified EEG technician and then evaluated by an experienced physician, certified in EEG.
Typically, there is no preparation prior to EEG exam needed. You should not stop any medication you take unless you are advised to do so by your doctor. Before EEG you can eat and drink as usual. It is recommended to shampoo your hair the night before EEG. Do not apply any hair spray, lotion or oil in your hair.
In addition to standard EEG we also provide the high-density EEG recording (256 channels), as well as event-related potentials recording (P300, Mismatch negativity, N400, etc.).
EEG appointment can be scheduled by phone or email, following a request of your physician (GP, neurologist or psychiatrist).
