The Public Mental Health Research Programme focuses on a wide range of topics from psychiatric epidemiology, mental health policy, care services research and mental health economics, to stigma and discrimination, suicide prevention and addictive behaviour. The projects of the programme are both research and implementation oriented. It is involved in the implementation of mental health care reform and the development of mental health care systems in the country and abroad. The Public Mental Health Research Programme is closely linked to the World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Public Mental Health Research and Service Development.
